Blindware had been facing an ongoing challenge: installers were misinterpreting installation steps, leading to blinds being fitted incorrectly. It was a small issue that quickly became a costly one — avoidable warranty claims, frustrated installers, and unnecessary back-and-forth for the Blindware team.
They’d tried filming installation videos in the past, but even with effort, key steps were still difficult to communicate clearly. Tight spaces, hidden components, and tricky angles meant the footage never quite captured what installers needed to see.
Working closely with the Blindware team, we developed a more effective solution. Instead of filming, we recreated the entire installation process for a whole suite of products in 3D animation. This approach instantly solved the clarity problem — every angle, every component and every motion could be shown cleanly, without obstruction.
Blindware already had 3D models for many of their products, so we built on what they had, creating additional components where needed and constructing a clean, simplified 3D room environment complete with blinds/curtains. By keeping the visual style minimal and focused, the final animations communicated each step with complete clarity.
The results spoke for themselves. Warranty claims dropped, installers reported fewer issues, and the videos quickly became a valuable training tool. The feedback was so positive that Blindware’s customers soon began requesting their own branded versions of the installation animations.
